Ianis Hagi adamant Rangers chance IS coming as agent reveals argument on how they will change Ibrox minds

Defiant Ianis Hagi reckons that a recall to the Rangers' first-team remains on the cards despite a hardline stance from Philippe Clement.

The Romanian star remains frozen out of the plans following the end of transfer windows across the globe - and despite impressing for his country during the international break he appears unlikely to earn a recall to the first-team plans from the Belgian at this stage. Record Sport that a clause in the 25-year-old's contract would see him receive a wage rise should he play one more game for Rangers - with the playmaker currently sitting on 99 appearances for the Light Blues.

And speaking ahead of this weekend's clash with Dundee United, boss Clement stuck to his guns over Hagi: “I said these things already the last time, the situation didn’t change. It’s not only my decision in that way. So we will see what the future will bring there.”

But speaking to Romanian outlet Play Sport , Hagi was bullish about his chances of making an impact at Ibrox once again: "I'm a Rangers player and I love this club. I have not disappointed anyone at the club who had faith in me and I am sure that I will get another chance."

In a statement released to Digi Sport from Hagi's representatives AC Talent, they insisted that his performances for Romania could change Clement's mind over the playmaker's exile. It read: "Ianis will not be leaving Rangers and is fighting to earn his place in the first team. We expect his developments with the national team to be an argument for his inclusion in the club squad."
