Tony Watt reckons Celtic are well ahead of Rangers - and even fans of the Ibrox club would agree.

However, the Motherwell loanee - spending the season at Fir Park from Dundee United - believes they are more than capable of beating every single team outside Brendan Rodgers' men and has pinpointed THREE key things they need to produce in order to do that. The one-time Hoops striker believes if they can go on a run of 10 wins and a row then you just don't know where they will be sitting but they must pick up victories weekly and hope the their rivals across the city slip up. Rangers defeated Dundee United on their return from the international break after a thumping by Celtic at Parkhead.

Watt reckons there are plenty of positives for Philippe Clement and his troops to take, as well as the fans, with the Scotland cap backing up the Belgian on his transition claim. Asked on the Scottish Football Podcast how he would gauge Rangers in terms of their title credentials, he said: "I think at the moment that is not really the question. I think Celtic are ahead of Rangers at the moment and Rangers are just hoping they slip up. While they hope that they need to just keep doing their bit and winning games.

"I don't think both teams are close at the moment. I do think that Celtic - on and off the pitch - are a lot further ahead but Rangers are not as bad as the performance made out. They are still transitioning. Philippe Clement has said that a few times.
