ITV The Masked Singer viewers "never would have guessed" as Rat unmasked

Another performer has finally been unmasked in tonight's edition of The Masked Singer.

With a wide range of guesses coming from panellists and viewers Rat was finally revealed to have been Strictly judge Shirley Ballas all along. She threw off everyone by putting on a Scouse accent the whole time, leaving the panellists stunned.

Shirley is known for her role in Strictly Come Dancing after joining the show in 2017, replacing the late Len Goodman. Many fans, who have been connecting dots throughout tonight's show with the few clues provided, were shocked it was Shirley behind the mask.

One viewer writing on X, formerly Twitter, said: "WHAT would never knew it was Shirley ballas." Another wrote: "Wow never have guessed Shirley Ballas"

A third said: "You were amazing Shirley. Didn’t even think it was you admittedly. My mum got you right though." A fourth added: "Shirley ballas singing Nelly the elephant on mask singer was not on my 2024 bingo card."

While a fifth said: "Well I was wrong. Shirley did absolutely amazing!!!"

However, while one singer has been unmasked, there are still a wide selection of mystery performers viewers can create theories on. The Masked Singer will return to the small screen next Saturday, January 20.
