ITV Dancing On Ice viewers issue same Claire Sweeney complaint minutes into show

Dancing On Ice viewers reckon Claire Sweeney was 'overmarked' as she made her debut on the ITV show. The soap actress, 52, took to the ice to perform with her pro partner Colin Grafton.

The hit ITV competition returned last week (Sunday January 14), with Stephen Mulhern and Holly Willoughby at the helm. The show's opening episode saw the first batch of celebrities don their skates in a bid to impress judges Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean, Oti Mabuse and Ashley Banjo.

Love Island’s Amber Davies, S Club 7’s Hannah Spearritt, boxer Ricky Hatton, Emmerdale actress Roxy Shahidi, Olympian Greg Rutherford and Coronation Street's Ryan Thomas all gave it their best, but it was sportsman Ricky who landed at the bottom of the leader board, meaning he must partake in this week's skate-off.

This Saturday, it was the turn of radio DJ Adele Roberts, ski jumper Eddie ‘the Eagle' Edwards, comedian Lou Sanders, Made in Chelsea’s Miles Nazaire and EastEnders star Ricky Norwood to impress the judges - as well as Corrie star Claire.

Claire and Colin performed to Bonnie Tyler's I Need A Hero, scoring a total of 22 out of a possible 40. All four judges awarded the pair 5.5 points. Christopher told Claire she looked 'elegant' on the ice, but warned: "To triumph, we need more 'umph,' so we need more speed over the ice, more attack. And you were a hero tonight - well done."

Oti hailed Claire's performance as 'empowering,' describing her as 'strong, elegant and powerful.' Jane agreed that Claire looked elegant and said she was particularly impressed with her forward crossovers as she managed to successfully straighten her legs each. Jane added: "I reckon you're better
