The Masked Singer fans have said 'I'm not watching' as they accuse new panellist Maya Jama of 'leaking' a celebrity contestant. The much-loved singing competition is set to return on Saturday (January 4), and eagle-eyed viewers believe they've spotted a spoiler hours before the first show kicks off.

The 2025 series of the ITV show, where a host of famous famous sing anonymously whilst hidden behind extravagant costumes, will see Love Island host Maya Jama join returning judges Jonathan Ross, Mo Gilligan and Davina McCall on the panel.

Maya, 30, will replace Rita Ora, who has appeared as a judge on The Masked Singer since it began back in 2020. Just hours before the first episode airs, Maya shared a post on her Instagram revealing she was 'nervous' as she showed some pictures from behind the scenes.

The caption read: "Thrilled to be joining The Masked Singer family. Felt well official with my notepad, nervous being the newbie but this series is so much fun! & it starts TONIGHTTT at 7pm & tomorrow at 6:30pm. Get your detective skills out & tune in to watch on ITV & ITVX. Who’s that behind the mask ?!?!..".

Amongst the photos shared with her 3.2 million followers showing the studio stage set, a picture with Jonathan Ross and a video with Davina McCall, Maya also shared a selfie with former Olympian Mo Farah.

Whilst some followers were distracted by Maya's tight-fitted leopard print dress, others believed that the selfie was in fact a spoiler ahead of tonight's episode.
