ITV Emmerdale's Beth Cordingly says on-screen husband 'tolerates' her as Ruby update leaves co-star 'worried'

Emmerdale star Beth Cordingly shared how her on-screen husband William Ash "tolerates" her as she shared some behind the scenes clips on her Instagram on Wednesday (January 22).

The actress stepped into the Dales in 2024 to take on the role of Ruby Fox-Miligan who is married to Caleb, long-lost son of Faith Dingle and Frank Tate. Ruby has become a key figure in the village after memories of her abuse at the hands of her estranged-father Anthony Fox resurfaced.

In recent episodes, viewers saw Caleb find the results for the DNA test Ruby conducted to see who Steph's real father is. He was livid when he saw there was "zero percent chance" that he was her biological father, leading to Chas putting two and two together realising that Anthony was the one who fathered Steph.

Fans of the ITV soap watched as Caleb led Anthony to a secluded barn in order to confront him for his historical abuse as well as being Steph's dad. His father-in-law admitted everything before revealing that Cain and Ruby had an affair - much to the surprise of an already furious Caleb.

While Emmerdale have teased a flashforward of Anthony dying, viewers are yet to find out who the murderer is. The strain on Caleb and Ruby's relationship is already at a tipping point as Ruby begins to crumble under the pressure, yet knowledge of her unfaithfulness could potentially drive the couple further apart.

Taking to her Instagram, Beth posted a video to show fans the swanky Mercedes that Ruby drives. She captioned the video: "Look at Ruby’s CAR!!! Woohoo." In the clip as she pans between her and the car, Beth joked: "This is the car I'm gonna be driving... Georgia Jay is very worried about my driving because I've got to drive her."
