ITV Good Morning Britain's Susanna Reid says 'I feel sick' as she returns to show

Susanna Reid, the host of Good Morning Britain, admitted she "felt sick" during Monday's broadcast. This revelation emerged following a segment on how easily zombie knives can be purchased online.

After demonstrating that the programme's producer was able to buy five such knives from various online sellers with no ID required for the purchase or delivery, Susanna expressed her shock on air. Gazing at the assortment of knives displayed in the studio, she commented: "It is absolutely gobsmacking that any of those weapons could be brought online, legally."

She further disclosed her discomfort, recalling when the knives were brought into the studio by the producer earlier, stating: "It makes me feel sick, our producer brought them into the studio a little bit earlier, I felt ill just being in the presence of them."

Discussing the legal status of the weapons shown, the ITV host informed viewers that only two of these will be classified illegal later this month. During the episode, she, along with Ed Balls, engaged in conversation with Pooja Kanda, who tragically lost her son Ronan to an attack involving a ninja sword one of which is not covered by the impending prohibition.

Pooja questioned the government's stance on not including ninja swords in the ban, saying: "Why do we need these types of weapons? Why are we making them available? I can't find the reason. All I want is for these to be banned," reports the Mirror.

Monday marked Susanna's return to the show after a substantial hiatus. The 53-year-old presenter had previously announced in July that she would be taking a summer break, with viewers witnessing a rotating roster of hosts standing in during her time away.
