ITV Good Morning Britain's Susanna Reid scolded for 'stupid question'
Good Morning Britain took an awkward turn on Wednesday as host Susanna Reid was scolded live on air.
During the latest instalment, Susanna, 54, and co-host Ed Balls spoke to Elon Musk's dad, Errol Musk, where Susanna was scolded for asking a 'stupid question'.
Susanna asked Errol, 79, about his son Elon, 53, who is the billionaire owner of X, Tesla and Starlink, as she said: "I'm very interested, Errol, firstly in your analysis of your own son, Elon, is he a genius or completely bonkers?"
To which Errol replied: "Of course he's a genius, that's ridiculous, what a stupid question!" as Susanna explained: "Well, people have asked if he is in fact a madman and certainly there's a degree of madness in being a genius! When did you last speak to him, when did you last spend time with him?"
To which Errol responded: "I last spent time with him at the launch of Starship a few months ago, I live away from him, I'm 10,000 miles from him but I was with him at the launch of Starship a few months ago."
Asked to describe his relationship with Elon currently, Errol said: "Very good, very very good, as good as a father wants it to be", adding: "I'm just his father, I'm there to give him advice if he asks for it that's all!"
It comes as Susanna recently broke her silence on her lengthy absence from Good Morning Britain.
In early December, Susanna expressed her gratitude to viewers and revealed that she would be stepping away from the show for a substantial holiday hiatus.
However, after a three-week absence, Susanna informed her followers on Sunday that she would be returning to television screens once again on Monday.
She took to Instagram to share a cosy snap of a flickering candle, captioning it: "Happy New Year! See you on
