ITV Emmerdale fans 'work out' Jai's sinister plan - and it's not looking good for Laurel

Emmerdale's Jai Sharma, portrayed by Chris Bisson, is cooking up a devious scheme for his ex-wife Laurel Thomas, Charlotte Bellamy, if fan theories are anything to go by.

The soap has recently documented the crumbling of Jai and Laurel's marriage after Jai confessed to blackmailing his biological father, Amit Sharma, played by Anil Goutam, for a share of the business.

This revelation cost Jai's half-brother Suni (Brahmdeo Shannon Ramana) his portion and left Laurel seething at Jai's scheming actions, prompting her to end their relationship.

Viewers witnessed Laurel asking for a divorce in recent episodes, leaving Jai both devastated and enraged. His spiteful side surfaced quickly as he began creating problems for Laurel at work and disrespecting her.

On social media platform X, previously known as Twitter, speculation is rife: "Is this the start of Jai going full villain? " queried one user. Another speculated, "So is Laurel gonna end up in Jai's storage box where he kept Charity.", reports the Express.

And another reminded us, "I haven't forgotten that he kidnapped and tortured Charity, keeping her in a shipping container for a week."

One follower joined the conversation, saying: "Watch him do that Laurel next," while another expressed, "Laurel needs to watch out, but it's probably too late."

Actor Chris has previously shared insights on his character's evolution amidst personal turmoil.

He explained, "[This] has changed something inside him and going forward the way he views life and
