Coronation Street double exit sealed as fans 'work out' Joel Deering teams up with unlikely resident in killer twist

Coronation Street was full of drama on Monday night and Dee-Dee Bailey (played by Channique Sterling-Brown) seems to be getting closer to exposing her fiance Joel Deering (Calum Lill).

It was recently disclosed that Joel was responsible for the disappearance of Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) after he left her for dead. However, when she returned to the Cobbles, Joel discovered Lauren was pregnant and attempted to murder her by drugging her in a desperate bid to kill the baby. However, his plan failed when she went into labour prematurely and the baby survived.

Dee-Dee discovered that Joel had been dishonest about a piece of jewellery he claimed to have bought for Lauren some time ago. However, during Monday's instalment, Dee-Dee seemed to piece it all together after she discovered the name of the jewellery shop Joel had bought the necklace.

Things also came to a head at the hospital when Dee-Dee found out Joel was the father of Lauren's baby - and even worse, that Joel was with Lauren when she went into labour.

Although, little did Lauren and Dee-Dee know that Joel was standing outside the hospital door listening in to their entire conversation.

After explaining she couldn't call for help when she went into labour, Dee-Dee quizzed Lauren: "Knowing the power you would have over him for the rest of his life...Lauren, could Joel have given you something to make you go into labour?"

"What?" Lauren replied clearly mortified as Dee-Dee shouted: "Could he have given you something?"

As Lauren questioned whether he could have, she remembered Joel had made her something to eat that day and watched her eat it before he left. Shortly after, she went into labour.
