Ian Evatt sets Bolton target after successive losses & Wanderers duo's fitness ahead of Barnsley

Ian Evatt expects to have Kyle Dempsey and Amadou Bakayoko back available for Bolton Wanderers when they take on Barnsley this weekend as he wants to give the Whites' support something to shout about after back to back losses in League One.

Both players were absent from the Wanderers matchday squad for the 1-0 loss at the New Lawn against Forest Green Rovers over the weekend. Connor Wickham scored what proved to be the winning goal in the first half.

Dempsey started the midweek loss to Cheltenham Town but was not involved against Forest Green owing to a hip issue picked up against the Robins, Ian Evatt confirmed after the loss to the Green Devils. Bakayoko meanwhile was given a break following his recent efforts and travels for Sierra Leone.

Evatt has confirmed he expects the duo to be back available for selection this Saturday when Wanderers host the Tykes at the University of Bolton Stadium. It will pit sixth against fifth in League One, though both teams could drop down a place should Peterborough United pick up at least a point against Forest Green this evening.

Wanderers have lost their last two games and will be aiming to return to winning ways when they take on the Tykes this weekend. The Whites were encouraging in the second half against FGR, especially down the left flank with Declan John, but were unable to carve out an equaliser despite several decent opportunities.
