Bolton Wanderers are back on home turf and seeking to return to winning ways this afternoon when they host Barnsley.

The Whites are back at the University of Bolton Stadium this afternoon in League One. They sit just outside the play-off places as things stand heading into the encounter.

Bolton have lost their last two games 1-0 on the road. Narrow defeats were suffered on the road to Cheltenham Town and Forest Green Rovers.

The Tykes were relegated from the Championship last season and will be aiming to return to the second tier of English football as soon as possible. Michael Duff is now in the Oakwell hotseat after moving from Cheltenham Town.

Barnsley are level on points and both goal difference with Wanderers in the table, with the Yorkshire side only above Bolton on goals scored. Should Bolton win this afternoon, the Whites would leapfrog the Yorkshire side in League One and be back in the play-off spots.
