'I might love him' - Rangers fans delighted with Amad Diallo after Manchester United loanee's debut

Amad Diallo is making quite the impression on Rangers fans after making an instant impact on his debut for the Scottish champions.

The Manchester United youngster made the move north of the border earlier this week as he arrived on loan at Ibrox for the remainder of the season.

And he couldn’t have made a better start to his time with the Glasgow giants, having been thrown straight in for his debut against Ross County by Giovanni van Bronckhorst.

Amad scored just four minutes into his first start, latching onto Joe Aribo’s cross at the far post to tap home and send the travelling supporters wild.

Things didn’t quite pan out how the visitors would have planned for the remainder of the first half as they found themselves going in at half-time 2-1 down, but Amad was soon in the thick of the action again as he helped his new side back onto level terms.

Ross County goalkeeper Ashley Maynard-Brewer was only able to parry the United teenager’s stinging shot, allowing James Tavernier to nip in and turn home the rebound.

And Rangers fans were certainly enamoured with their new star, with fans singing Amad’s praises on social media.

The afternoon didn’t quite end how Amad would have hoped though, as the 19-year-old was substituted after picking up a knock just after the hour-mark.

Given his immediate impact for his new club, Rangers fans will be hoping the injury is nothing serious, with the Old Firm game against Celtic coming up on Wednesday.
