'Love it', 'Brilliant' - Lots of Rangers fans 'delighted' as club now drops 'excellent' update

Lots of Glasgow Rangers fans have been left buzzing over some contract news that has emerged involving Jon McLaughlin.

As per the official website of the Ibrox faithful, the goalkeeper has now signed a new deal that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2024.

McLaughlin has filled in ten times for Allan McGregor so far this season, and has kept an impressive five clean sheets, conceding just six goals in the process (Transfermarkt).

After McGregor’s two errors leading to goals in the 3-3 draw away at Ross County in the Scottish Premiership at Saturday lunchtime, it may now be time for Giovanni van Bronckhorst to give McLaughlin an extended run in the team, starting with Wednesday night’s Old Firm clash against bitter rivals Celtic.

These Teddy Bears buzzed as the contract news was shared on Twitter, with one Light Blue claiming that they are ‘delighted’, while other Gers supporters even went as far as to call it ‘excellent’:
