Hundreds evacuated from Cardiff city centre as fire crews rush to scene - live updates
Hundreds of people have been evacuated following an incident in Cardiff. People working in Brunel House and Starling Bank on Fitzalan Road left the buildings at around 1.30pm following a fire alarm.
At least five fire engines are understood to have attended the scene, while firefighters can be seen using a hose. The cause of the incident is said to be a "commercial fire".
A spokesman for South Wales Fire and Rescue Service said: "SWFRS received a call at approximately 1.20pm to reports of a commercial fire at Fitzalan Road, Cardiff. Crews, appliances and specialist equipment from Cardiff Central, Whitchurch, Ely, Duffryn and Maindee are currently at the scene. The incident is on-going."
