Full list of Storm Darragh-affected sporting events as Everton vs Liverpool off
Storm Darragh has impacted the sporting schedule across the United Kingdom this weekend, with the Merseyside derby between Everton and Liverpool postponed on Saturday morning on safety grounds.
That is the only Premier League match off so far, but there are two more postponements in the Championship, plus three each in League One and Two. The Football Association of Wales already announced on Friday that all football and rugby matches nationwide on Saturday, including Cardiff City versus Watford and Newport County vs Carlisle United, would not take place on the advice of the Met Office.
Rugby union in England is also affected, with the Premiership Women's Rugby match between Bristol Bears Women and Exeter Chiefs Women at Ashton Gate postponed. Several race meets have also been subjected to ground inspections, resulting in some cancellations at Aintree and Chepstow.
