Hull FC team news as Brett Hodgson makes three changes to squad

Brett Hodgson has made three changes to his squad for this weekend’s clash with Catalans Dragons. The Black and Whites will travel to Perpignan on Saturday looking to bounce back to winning ways after falling short last time out against Wakefield Trinity at Belle Vue.

Jake Connor picked up a medial ligament injury in that game and he won’t be seen until later this year after being ruled out for 10 to 12 weeks as he begins his rehabilitation process. That means Jamie Shaul could be the man to start at full-back for the Black and Whites this week and he’ll be keen to get a run in the team.

Scott Taylor has also dropped out as he serves a one-match ban for dangerous contact. However, Ligo Sao should be fit enough to take Taylor’s place in the side after missing last week’s game with a knee issue.

Carlos Tuimavave may come back into the side, too, after struggling with a knock. Mitieli Vulikijapani is fit again after missing the last few weeks through injury, while Charlie Severs also comes into the fold.

The youngster fractured his jaw while playing for the club’s under-18s earlier this year, but he made his return to action for the academy last week against Bradford Bulls and he’s been called up into the first-team for the trip to France. Josh Bowden has dropped out of the squad.

Adam Swift, Carlos Tuimavave, Josh Griffin, Darnell McIntosh, Josh Reynolds, Luke Gale, Ligi Sao, Danny Houghton, Chris Satae, Manu Ma'u, Jordan Lane, Joe Lovodua, Brad Fash, Kane Evans, Jack Brown, Jordan Johnstone, Connor Wynne, Cam Scott, Jamie Shaul, Mitieli Vulikijapani, Charlie Severs.
