Hull FC's full injury and suspension situation as star players sidelined

Hull FC will be missing a host of players when they take on Catalans Dragons on Sunday evening. have a seen a number of key men drop out over the last couple of weeks through injury and the two-game suspension handed to Luke Gale for tripping hasn’t helped matters.

Brett Hodgson will also be waiting patiently to find out whether Brad Fash will be punished after being accused of biting by Hull KR’s Elliot Minchella.

With that in mind, Hull Live takes a look at the current list of absentees and when they could be back.

Reason for absence: Ankle and knee injuries

The centre completed the derby clash against Hull KR despite picking up two injuries and he was seen wearing an air-boot at the MKM Stadium on Monday afternoon. Griffin has been for a scan this week and the club are still waiting to learn the full extent of the damage but Hodgson admitted in his press conference after the win over Warrington that the centre could be set to miss a few weeks.

Reason for absence: Ruptured ACL

Hodgson broke the news on Monday that Savelio would require surgery after rupturing his ACL in the first half of the derby at Craven Park. It’s a big blow for the Black and Whites and he won’t be seen until next season.

Reason for absence: Stress fracture

The prop forward picked up a couple of stress fractures in his foot with around six weeks to go until the start of the new Super League season. The injury related back to the Lisfranc injury he picked up last April, but he’s well and truly on the mend.

Taylor has been running for some time on the training field and there is a chance he could return in time to face Catalans Dragons this weekend.
