Hull FC player ratings as Jordan Lane shines brightest in powerful pack performance

Jake Connor: Made a couple of mistakes to invite pressure on his side late in the day but held his own at times, too. 6

Darnell McIntosh: Probably should have done more to prevent Fouad Yaha touching down in the first half but took on plenty of carries and showed effort. 7

Carlos Tuimavave: Arguably one of FC’s best against the Dragons. He showed constantly for the ball and looked a real threat. 8

Mitieli Vulikijapani: A really good display at centre once again. He carried the ball well and produced a couple of fine moments defensively, too. 8

Jamie Shaul: Didn’t put a foot wrong as he continues to look at home on the edge. Another impressive performance. 7

Josh Reynolds: A better showing from the half-back. He kicked well at times, made his tackles count and looked to create. He should be pleased with his showing. 7

Joe Lovodua: Made a strong break in the second half and turned in a steady performance in the halves. 7

Ligi Sao: Another really big effort from the prop forward. His size, power and fitness continues to cause Super League sides problems. Enjoyed the physical battle through the middle. 8

Danny Houghton: An outstanding performance in the hooker role. He looked fresh, he made a handful of dummy half runs and had a busy day defensively. Laid on both of FC’s tries. 8

Kane Evans: His best game in a Hull shirt by far. He played big minutes and continued to put his hand up to take hit-ups. He was solid defensively, too. 8

Manu Ma’u: He’s in great form. The Tonga international carried well and made his presence felt in the back row. 8

Jordan Lane (star man): Scored FC’s first after showing some neat footwork to dance his way through the line and impressed all night with his running and defensive strength. 8
