Hull City linked with move for 24-year-old

It could be a busy summer ahead for Hull City, with new owner Acun Ilicali looking to invest in his new asset.

According to a report from Sports World Ghana, the Tigers are hoping to make a move for Benjamin Tetteh.

The forward currently plays for Yeni Malatyaspor, who ply their trade in the Turkish Super Lig.

The 24-year-old has seven goals and one assist from 24 league appearances this season.

The Ghanaian has also played in the Czech Republic with Sparta Prague, and played in Belgium with Standard Liege.

Hull are looking to improve their squad this summer to climb the Championship table.

Grant McCann was replaced mid-season with the side lingering outside the relegation places.

Shota Arveladze has led the side to 18th place going into their final game of the season against Nottingham Forest this weekend.

Goalscoring has been a particular issue for the side, having only bagged 40 goals from 45 games this campaign.

With Keane Lewis-Potter also possibly set to leave the club this summer, that will leave a void in the side for a goalscorer.

It comes as no surprise that Hull are being linked with a new forward given their issues in front of goal.

Tetteh is also not the first player from the Turkish Super Lig that the club has been linked with since the takeover by the Turkish businessman at the start of this year.

The striker has a decent goalscoring tally in Turkey, but it remains to be seen how he would adapt to the Championship.

It is likely that the Tigers will need more than one addition up front to improve their goal scoring efforts for next season.
