Huddersfield Town's mental task, QPR's form and fatigue factor among pre-match talking points

Huddersfield Town are at home once again as they take on Queens Park Rangers in this evening’s 5:30pm kick off and will be looking to make it three wins in a row to significantly bolster their hopes of a top six finish.

All of their promotion rivals will have played earlier in the day – bar Fulham, who are all but uncatchable at this point – and Town are already assured of ending Friday still inside the top four having extended the gap to fifth-placed Luton to four points with their victory on Monday evening.

But whatever the results elsewhere, Carlos Corberan will be calling on his side to put in another competitive and professional display against their out-of-form opponents. Here are all the big talking points to look out for on what will, one way or another, be another hugely pivotal day for the Terriers’ promotion hopes.

If this game goes to form, it should be a routine win for Huddersfield Town. But we’ve all watched enough Championship football over the years to know things are rarely that simple in reality.

Having spent most of the season so far in the top six, Mark Warburton’s injury-hit side have suffered a precipitous decline over the past couple of months, taking just seven points from their last 12 games to slide as far as 11th and all but end their play-off hopes.
