Clark, Mitchell combine for 68 in Fever's blowout win over Sun - ESPN

INDIANAPOLIS — Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell each scored 34 points as the Indiana Fever defeated the Connecticut Sun 111-91 on Friday.

The Fever's dynamic duo scored 30 or more for the fourth game this season, extending their WNBA single-season record for a duo. It's also the first time in WNBA history the same teammates have scored at least 30 in consecutive games.

Clark and Mitchell dominated the action for the Fever on Friday, scoring or assisting on 92 of the team's 111 points, the third-most in a game in WNBA history, according to Elias Sports Bureau. They set the record on Sunday at the Chicago Sky with 98.

«I don't really care about the stats,» Clark said. «I think when I'm just flowing and playing, that's kind of what follows. I still think there's so much more I can do and so many areas I can continue to get better.»

Clark added 12 assists, marking the fifth time this year she has had a double-double with at least 30 and 10.

Mitchell notched her 24th straight 20-point game in the Fever's final game before a three-week break for the FIBA Women's World Cup. Indiana has won seven of nine as Clark, Aliyah Boston, and coach Stephanie White head to Berlin for the tournament. Boston scored 14 points.

Clark, who dealt with back issues earlier this season, said she feels «probably the best I've ever felt in my career.»

«I think it was a battle for the first 20 games for me to really find my confidence again, mostly in my body. Now I feel like just playing, not thinking,» she said.

Diamond Miller finished with 19 points and Nell Angloma had 17 to lead Connecticut, who have lost six of their past eight games.
