Huddersfield Town power rankings highlight tough selection decisions in deep squad

Once again we try to put ourselves in Carlos Corberan’s head and work out what order he might write out his teamsheet, just like we do every month.

Huddersfield Town have gone through another entire month without defeat, winning five and drawing two of their seven February games in all competitions.

So where does that leave the shape of the squad as we come into another busy period of five games before 19th March?

Now more than ever, we need to remind you this is not 'who's done best this month', but 'who do we think would get picked if everyone were fit', meaning that numbers 1-11 have to represent the starting lineup...

Still Town’s best player, though we really seriously considered switching him and number 2 around. But then we remembered he's played every single league minute since the fourth game of the season, which is absolutely remarkable for a centre midfielder.

Conceded just two goals in his six outings in February to keep his remarkable season going. Having an absolutely phenomenal season.

Has been back in really good form since the middle of December and has put in some star turns over the past three games: won the penalty against Fulham, put in the cross for both goals against Cardiff, and crossed for Levi Colwill against Birmingham before helping force O’Brien’s effort. One of only two players to start all seven games in February.

Easily Town’s best starting centre-forward, contributing far more than his recent goal tally would suggest. Only drops because Thomas has been doing so well.

Has put those slight doubts about his form firmly behind him with a series of encouraging performances. The move towards a three-man midfield helps lift his value to the side, too.
