'His general play is shocking' – Roy Keane slams Man United star with scathing comment

Roy Keane slammed Marcus Rashford's performance during Manchester United's defeat by Arsenal, calling his general play "shocking".

The Red Devils suffered a 2-0 loss to the Gunners on Wednesday night, conceding two second-half goals to Arsenal's expertly-worked corner routines. Rashford, who had scored three goals already under new Red Devils head coach Ruben Amorim, was brought off the bench for Mason Mount on the hour mark.

But the forward failed to make any impact on the game and even conceded the corner leading to Arsenal's second goal. His underwhelming performance prompted scathing criticism from legendary United captain Keane, who was watching the match live on the Overlap.

Keane said: "I'll tell you something, Marcus Rashford came on there. His general play as a footballer is shocking. Watch his header there. Have United's subs given anything since coming on? Nothing. The subs have done nothing. Manchester United deserve nothing anyway. They were rubbish. You know what happens with United? They fool you, they fool you. They're not dynamic."

Rashford's form has been inconsistent throughout his United career. Having scored 30 goals in a single campaign just two seasons ago, he has experienced a significant decline since and is under pressure to prove his worth within the new regime.
