Woman suffers life-changing injuries in crash on busy Manchester road

A woman was rushed to hospital with serious injuries following a car crash on a busy north Manchester road. Emergency services were called out to Lightbowne Road, in Moston, at 5.55pm on Wednesday evening (December 4).

Greater Manchester Police says the collision involved two cars. A woman in her 40s suffered life-changing injuries in the crash, according to GMP.

The woman was believed to have been a passenger in one of the vehicles. She was taken to hospital from the scene for treatment.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing Lightbowne Road closed off by police for a number of hours on Wednesday evening. No arrests have been made following the collision, GMP says.

The road has since reopened. Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service and North West Ambulance Service have been approached for further details.
