Hearts and Hibs facing derby chaos fines as pair charged by SFA after Tynecastle bedlam

Hearts and Hibs are set to face the SFA music after their final derby of the Premiership season ended with a rammy.

Both sets of players and staff collided at the end of the Tynecastle match which ended 1-1, and meant the home side finished fourth with a guaranteed European spot. Hibs now need to wait and see if Celtic beat Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the Scottish Cup final to book their spot on the continent but post-match melees dominated the game's narrative.

Now each club has been accused of a breach of disciplinary rule 204, which can carry a financial penalty from £2,500 for a ‘lower end’ offence to a £20k maximum. No individuals on either side have been singled out after compliance officer Martin Black reviewed footage of the fiery scenes. Hibs manager Lee Johnson and defender Rocky Bushiri, and Hearts goalkeeper Ross Stewart and goalkeeping coach Paul Gallacher all got hit with red cards. A hearing date is set for June 29th.

Fracas were initiated when Johnson and interim Hearts boss Steven Naismith collided on the touchline. And soon after, a sea of bodies were facing off on the pitch as some tried frantically to break it up.
