Hearts 0 Tottenham 0 LIVE as Son and Maddison start in strong Spurs team while Dhanda gets nod

Hearts step up their preparations ahead of the new season by welcoming English Premier League side Tottenhamto Gorgie tonight.

Steven Naismith's side started their friendly schedule with a 2-1 home defeat to another London club in Leyton Orient last weekend but will see this evening's game against Ange Postecoglou's Spurs as a good opportunity to show supporters what they are all about this season. The former Scotland international will renew acquantances with Postecoglou, having squared off against the Aussie in the closing months of the 2022/23 campaign at the end of the 58-year-old's tenure.

Ahead of their Premiership kick-off against Rangers on August 5, Hearts have welcomed seven new signings into the club and the likes of Yan Dhanda, Daniel Oyegoke and Musa Drammeh will all be desperate for a taste of the action against their English counterparts tonight, while skipper Lawrence Shankland will be looking to hit the ground running in front of goal before the competitive season gets underway.

Spurs follow up their meeting with the Jambos with a short trip to take on Queens Park Rangers next Saturday before they jet off to Japan for a pre-season tour.
