Hamilton, Verstappen, Leclerc, Vettel, Alonso: F1 drivers' season ranked so far

Following the chaotic Hungarian Grand Prix last weekend, it is that time of year again where we are stripped of any F1 races to watch as the sport goes on its official summer holiday.

Luckily, the Premier League starts again this weekend to entertain us!

And while the four-week summer break may be welcomed by some drivers, we’re sure some will be desperate to get back out on that track to either continue their good form or to rectify their poor start to the season.

With this natural checkpoint of the season, Top Gear have decided to rank all of the drivers’ performance so far this season by way of a grading system, and they have not held back!

Unsurprisingly, the defending champion and current points leader Max Verstappen is given the highest ranking for his incredible turnaround of the 46-point deficit into an 80-point lead on Charles Leclerc this season.
