Half-back questions and Jordan Lane - Predicted Hull FC line-up for the Hull derby

Brett Hodgson will be hoping for a much improved performance from his side on Good Friday. The Black and Whites make the short journey to Craven Park this week to face off against their nearest and dearest rivals Hull KR and the head coach knows how a result could impact their season.

He has named an unchanged 21-man squad and it seems he will give Carlos Tuimavave the time he needs to prove his fitness over the next 24 hours. Tuimavave has had a frustrating season so far with injury preventing him from making a Super League appearance.

However, he could be seen running earlier this week in training and that could be a good sign ahead of Friday’s demanding and intense match up. With that in mind, Hull Live attempts to predict how Hull will line-up at Craven Park on Friday.

In the outside backs much depends on the fitness of Tuimavave, who has been named in the squad. Should he be passed fit then he will be expected to step into the starting line-up in place of Mitieli Vulikijapani.

The Fijian has done reasonably well in the centre's absence, but Tuimavave’s experience, temperament and talent could be crucial as Hull journey into the lion’s den. The next change could be in the halves with Josh Reynolds and Luke Gale ready to start together for just the third time this season.

Hodgson went for Joe Lovodua at stand-off against Huddersfield Giants before bringing the Australian off the bench in the first half. Gale and Reynolds struggled to impact the game last time out and they’ll be keen to impress in east Hull.
