Hull FC's home form upturn heralded as Black and Whites look for five straight MKM wins

One of the biggest early-season positives for Hull FC has been their home form. Ahead of the visit of Toulouse Olympique, the Black and Whites boast an impressive record of four wins from five games at the MKM Stadium this season, a fact not lost on Brett Hodgson.

Their only defeat on home soil this season came at the expense of the defending champions St Helens, who put on a clinic in round two of Super League. Since then, FC have defeated high-flying Huddersfield as well as big-hitters Catalans Dragons and Warrington Wolves. An annihilation of Salford Red Devils also occurred.

They encounter Super League's basement side on Saturday looking for five straight home wins, an important stat for the Black and Whites boss after years of frustration at home.

"I know that has plagued us as a club over a number of years," he said. "A part of our pre-season conversation was about performing well at home and giving the supporters something to cheer about and giving them something to watch.

"We've been happy in large elements in the last two weeks in particular but you're only as good as your next game and we need to make sure that's another successful event for us."

They currently stand fourth on the league ladder, a decent return for a squad plagued with injuries at the start of the year and for a squad that, by its own admission, hasn't yet into top gear. Hodgson put their results down to improved application on the training field.
