Greater Manchester weekend weather forecast as country set to enjoy 'Indian summer'

The weather in Greater Manchester should be largely dry this weekend, with the sun expected to make an appearance.

Dry conditions are forecast for today, Saturday and Sunday before more unsettled conditions set in next week. Forecasters have then hinted that an Indian summer may be on the horizon, arriving at the start of October.

After a misty start to the morning today (Friday), cloudy and sunny conditions are forecast. The weather should stay dry, with temperatures reaching highs of around 21C, according to the Met Office.

Tomorrow is set to be another mostly cloudy day, with some sunny intervals forecast in the afternoon. Temperatures will drop slightly to a high of around 17C.

Similar conditions are forecast on Sunday in Greater Manchester, with a cloudy day expected. Heavy rain is forecast to fall from around 7pm in the evening.

Last week, the early September heatwave saw sun lovers make the most of the warm climate. Temperatures rose as high as 26C as the sun shone through out the week with only a few spots of rain like the showers that brought Sahara dust with it.

Forecasters predict Indian summer will arrive in the UK on Monday, October 2 and end on October 10. Sunny conditions are expected with higher than average temperatures.
