Greater Manchester weather forecast for New Year's Eve and New Year's Day
The clock is ticking down towards the end of 2023. And if you're planning on going out tonight to celebrate the New Year or go for a walk tomorrow to clear away the cob webs, you'll need to know what the weather's up to.
It's been a wet and windy Christmas so far, with parts of Greater Manchester even hit by a tornado. And tonight looks like it's going to continue in that vein.
But forecasters are predicting the rain's finally going to clear away tomorrow- and we might even see a bit of sunshine. The Met Office forecast for the north west for tonight reads: "A showery evening and start to the new year with showers continuing overnight, merging into longer spells of rain in places. Windy with coastal gales possible in the south. Minimum temperature 4 °C."
