Greater Manchester’s most affordable areas where house prices are much cheaper than the average
House prices appear to be falling across the country according to the latest figures from Rightmove. New data from the property portal shows that asking prices for houses across the UK have dropped for the second month in a row as rising mortgage costs continue to affect the property market.
The average price of a home coming to market has gone down by 0.2 percent this month, which is marginally below the norm for this time of the year. In Greater Manchester, the average house price currently stands at £260,144, but there are several parts of the region where buying a home is much more affordable.
Here we look at the cheapest areas to buy a home across Greater Manchester at the moment. These areas each have an average house price of less than £200,000, which makes stepping onto the property ladder much easier.

The Bolton borough has four areas where house prices are relatively cheap compared to the region's average house price.
