Great Manchester Run 2023 LIVE 10k and half marathon results, photos and updates

The Great Manchester Run is back for another year with tens of thousands of people expected to take part.

Elite athletes, club runners, and fun runners will be all be taking part in the 10km and half marathon races on Sunday.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the run, which is Europe's biggest 10k race, with start times staggered throughout the day.

The first runners set off at 8.30am for the half marathon followed by the elite wheelchair, men and women's races, and the remaining 10km waves - the last starting at 12.54pm.

The 10k route starts off on Portland Street just near the junction with Oxford Road, and continues down onto the A56 towards Old Trafford - taking in Manchester United’s ground - before heading back towards Deansgate. The finish line is on Great Bridgewater Street.

The half marathon starts and continues along the same route as the 10k, until turning onto the Mancunian Way and continuing all the way up to Etihad Stadium before joining the 10k route back down past Old Trafford and back up to Deansgate.
