Good Morning Britain viewers say 'it's too early' as Donny Osmond appears on the show and throws shade at Ed Balls

Good Morning Britain viewers were left complaining that it was 'too early' as Dobby Osmond made an appearance on the show. It was all change on the ITV news programme as Susanna Reid was suddenly replaced at the helm following a night at the National Television Awards.

The presenter was due to host the show on Wednesday (September 6) alongside Ed Balls but was replaced at the eleventh hour by Charlotte Hawkins after heading into the London-based studio with no voice. Charlotte explained the change at the top of the latest programme. "Good morning to you, this is a bit of an unscheduled appearance for me this morning!" she said.

Ed replied: "I was about to say, you know, I came into the studio as usual about 4:30am. Walked past Susanna Reid's dressing room. There was Susanna, as always, in her white dressing gown, getting ready for the show to come. This feels like a bit of a change!"

Charlotte then explained: "The reason is because you saw Susanna there but we couldn't hear her because she has unfortunately lost her voice! She is here in the building with us. Here she is, Susanna, how are you?" A hoarse Susanna replied: "I'm fine, I just can't speak!"

The programme then had to carry on as normal and Charlotte and Ed found themselves being joined via video link by Donny Osmond. The singer was live on the show from Las Vegas to talk about bringing his show to the UK direct from Harrah's Las Vegas.

But as he chatted about what fans can expect when his tour begins in November before travelling up and down the country, Donny couldn't help but keep breaking out into song, particularly his version of the Paul Anka track Puppy Love.
