Richard Madeley says 'get out of here' as Good Morning Britain comes under fire for Joan Collins remark

Richard Madeley was left shirking off Susanna Reid's comments before Good Morning Britain came under fire for comments about Joan Collins. The presenters were back at the helm of the ITV news programme on Monday (September 25) as they kicked off another week of news, debates and showbiz sparkle.

But during the first show of the week, things got a bit awkward when a guest referenced Dynasty icon Joan, not knowing she is set to appear on GMB on Tuesday (September 26). It all started when Richard and Susanna discussed Angela Rippon's incredible Strictly Come Dancing debut.

The TV legend, 78, wowed the judges and fans alike with her cha cha. Wearing a silver sparkly fringed dress, the veteran broadcaster took to the dancefloor with professional partner Kai Widdrington to Get The Party Started by Dame Shirley Bassey. During the dance she showed off her flexibility with an impressive leg kick.

And it appears to have led to a debate about whether you can be a sex symbol over the age of 60. "Well there’s one obvious person to ask if you can still be a sex symbol in your sixties..." Susanna said in the background as a clip of Angela dancing with Kai Widdrington played on the out to viewers.

“Richard Madeley!” Susanna added as Richard replied: "Oh get out of here! What?" The show's crew could be heard wolf-whistling in the background. "There we go, the crew think so," Susanna said before adding: "Actually I’m not so sure that’s appropriate is it."

They were then joined by actress Debbie Arnold and journalist Dawn Neesom to discuss the topic around
