ITV GMB slammed for Thomas Markle interview as he 'begs' to see grandchildren

Good Morning Britain viewers slammed Monday's edition of the programme (September 18) as Thomas Markle appeared on the show and 'begged' to see his grandchildren.

The father of the Duchess of Sussex joined hosts Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley on the early morning ITV programme to discuss healing his relationship with his daughter. He branded Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as 'cruel' and made a plea to be reunited with grandkids Archie and Lillibet, who live in California.

He also opened up about his own health battles, and explained he was managing his recovery following a major stroke last May. On his grandchildren, he said: "I'm very upset about it as well because this is a cruel thing to do to a grandparent ... To deny the right to see their grandchild."

Taking to Twitter, most viewers appeared unimpressed by the segment. @TracyGreaves24 asked: "Does anyone care about this? #GMB" while @Itt39354118 agreed: "Who's bothered anyway". @uniquedollsUK added: "Why do GMB keep giving this man air time???"
