Giovanni Pernice fans beg 'please' as he's forced to make hard Strictly Come Dancing decision with Rose Ayling-Ellis support

Giovanni Pernice has been forced to make a difficult decision regarding Strictly Come Dancing under doctor's orders. The dancer is due to return to the BBC One dance contest when it returns this autumn after he was confirmed in the professional dancers line-up despite exit rumours.

Fears he'd leave the show came after his early exit from the competition last year, which came less than 12 months after he lifted the coveted Glitterball trophy alongside former EastEnders actress Rose Ayling-Ellis.

But he was quick to hit back at the claims and took to his Instagram Stories to share a news headline, which read: "Giovanni threatens to quit the show after being 'wasted' this series". He then added: "LOL [laughing face emojis] I'm not going anywhere!!!"

He was then confirmed earlier this year to be taking part in the 2023 run of the hit dance competion as the first details were released about the upcoming 21st series.

Alongside Giovanni, the dancers confirmed to return are Dianne Buswell, Nadiya Bychkova, Graziano Di Prima, Karen Hauer, Katya Jones, Neil Jones, Nikita Kuzmin, Gorka Marquez, Luba Mushtuk, Giovanni Pernice, Jowita Przystal, Johannes Radebe, Kai Widdrington, Nancy Xu, Carlos Gu, Lauren Oakley, Michelle Tsiakkas and Vita Coppola.

Earlier this week, the group reunited as they started rehearsals for the professional dance numbers which are usually pre-recorded and aired during the results shows which take place every Sunday following the live main show on a Saturday night.
