'Get it f****** sorted' - Sir Alex Ferguson's half-time team talk that inspired Manchester United's greatest comeback

The epic tale of Manchester United's biggest Premier League comeback is one for the history books.

After trailing by three goals against Tottenham during a match on Saturday, September 29, 2001, it seemed like things were going downhill. Manchester United had conceded many goals that season and hadn't secured a win in any of their away games.

They had let through two goals to Liverpool in the Charity Shield, two at Blackburn, one at Aston Villa, four at Newcastle and two more at Deportivo La Coruna. The first-half onslaught at White Hart Lane made it 14 goals conceded on the road in just over five games of football. Their defence had been the weakest in the Premier League on away grounds.

When asked afterwards about what he'd said during the break to encourage such a dramatic turnaround, Ferguson opted to keep mum. "I'm not saying exactly what I said to them at half-time! Why am I always asked that?" he bluntly stated.

The team talk given by Sir Alex Ferguson has become well-known over the years, showcasing his knack for motivating his players. The BBC's match report from that memorable game praised Tottenham Hotspur's first-half performance.
