Sir Jim Ratcliffe sent triple Manchester United instruction in clear January transfer plan

Dwight Yorke has named the three players he would sign if he was in charge of recruitment at Manchester United.

The Red Devils are yet to act in the transfer market as regards incomings, though it is likely Erik ten Hag will be eager to strengthen his squad should the opportunity present itself.

United's ability to recruit individuals this month may be helped by INEOS Sport, governed by British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe, acquiring a minority stake in the club in December as Ten Hag's side look to play catch-up on the teams at the top of the Premier League table.

Attack is a key area of the pitch United have certainly been lacking in this season, highlighted by the fact only the bottom two teams in the division have scored fewer goals this season.

One individual who knew what it took to find the back of the net for the club, Yorke, has now offered his views on the trio he would plot deals for to offer a greater sense of firepower in the final third.

"If I were in charge of Man United and had to sign three players, then I'd pick Victor Osimhen, Leroy Sane, and Son Heung-min," explained the three-time Premier League winner.

"I feel United are OK defensively, but they lack options in midfield. I wouldn't say the club needs a clearout, but they need at least six new players to freshen up the whole team. Too many players have been there for too long!
