Gerald Taylor opens up on Hearts dream as incoming full back speaks out on imminent move in Costa Rica

Hearts' incoming new boy Gerald Taylor can't wait to get started at Tynecastle after securing his loan move from Costa Rica.

The Costa Rican international is set to become the club's seventh summer signing on an initial loan from Deportivo Saprissa with an option for the move to become permanent. And the 23-year-old revealed in his homeland how the move came about. He said: "It all happened very quickly. The Copa America started and they told me something about Hearts, that there were possibilities for me to join the club and I immediately said yes, that I wanted to go. I have always wanted to play in Europe and I will give everything to make it successful."

And his club's sporting manager, Sergio Gila, has indicated that if Taylor is a success, they will receive a bumper transfer fee from Hearts. He said: "The Scottish club are paying us for the loan and there is also a very interesting purchase option for us with a high market value.
