Gemma Atkinson 'upset' as she speaks out after being labelled 'fat' and 'lazy' three weeks after giving birth

Gemma Atkinson has said 'it makes me upset' as she discussed being branded 'lazy' and 'fat' after being spotted out three weeks after giving birth. The Hits Radio hos welcomed her second child into the world last month with her fiancee Gorka Marquez.

Gemma and her Strictly Come Dancing star beau announced that their son, Thiago Thomas Marquez, arrived safely on July 17, just over four years after the couple welcomed their first child, daughter Mia.

Thiago, or Tio for short, made his entrance into the world as Gemma, 38, neared 41 weeks in her pregnancy and just missed his older sister Mia's birthday as she was born on July 4 in 2019.

After keeping her fans and followers updated throughout her pregnancy, Bury-born Gemma's honest posts have continued as she documents her new life as a mum-of-two but things got a bit more serious on Thursday (August 10) when she addressed some awful comments she had received.

Earlier this week Gemma was spotted out and about with her mum and Thiago. She explained that she had dropped Mia off at pre-school and was heading to the doctors when they were papped. As she set the reason she was out with her mum straight, she laughed as she said: "I did look like a bag of rags, to be fair. I didn't look my best."

The former Hollyoaks and Emmerdale star explained her ongoing C-section recovery was the reason she wasn't pushing Thiago's pram after she was branded 'lazy' for not doing it. "My mum was pushing the pram, because it's quite hilly where I live, so downhill I could push him. Uphill, it was a little bit tender and I don't want to overdo it," she shared.
