Gemma Atkinson shares candid 'RIP' message amid maternity leave as fans tell daughter to 'not worry'

Gemma Atkinson joked 'RIP' as she gave a candid update amid her maternity leave with baby number two. The Hits Radio host will actually be making a TV return earlier than people expected after giving birth to her second child last month.

Bury-born Gemma and her fiance Gorka Marquez welcomed their son, Thiago Thoma Marquez, into the world on July 17. The couple, who met on Strictly Come Dancing in 2017, said in the announcement that their family was 'complete' following their baby's arrival, four years after their first child, daughter Mia, was born.

The couple's recent second pregnancy journey is set to feature in their new show Gemma & Gorka: Life Behind the Lens, which Gemma, 38, and Spanish dancer Gorka, 32, revealed last month.

They shared at the time how the 'wonderful crew' had been on hand to document their second pregnancy journey "showing not only the absolute utter chaos of our day-to-day lives at home juggling work, dogs, toddlers and hormones."

But despite the show, after keeping fans in the loop throughout her second pregnancy online, Gemma has continued to be honest and open with her loyal fanbase as she returns to life with a newborn and gets to grip with life as a new mum-of-two.

In one of her latest updates shared to her Instagram Story, Gemma was seen cuddling up to and cooing over little Thiago, or Tio for short, But the former Hollyoaks and Emmerdale star's reaction soon changed when she heard the noises coming for her son.
