'Exciting' - Manchester United hero sends manager message to Ryan Reynolds and Wrexham

Manchester United hero Dwight Yorke admits he would consider managing Wrexham if the role comes up.

Wrexham are currently enjoying their first season back in the Football League after winning promotion under Phil Parkinson, who remains in charge at the Racecourse Ground. After losing a dramatic curtain raiser against MK Dons this month, Wrexham have gone four unbeaten in League Two.

Parkinson's side also defeated League One side Wigan Athletic in the Carabao Cup, via penalties, before losing to Bradford City in a similar manner in their second round game on Tuesday night. Overall it has been an encouraging start to the campaign, and there will be no imminent change in the dugout.

However, should former Bradford and Sunderland manager Parkinson eventually move on, Yorke said he would love another chance at management., particularly under Hollywood owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. The treble-winner with United in 1999 has been out of the dug out since leaving Australian A-League side Macarthur FC in January.

"If Wrexham approached me and asked me to manage the team, I would consider it. I have to make a decision that aligns with my ideas and ambitions.
