Gary Neville shows true colours before Monday Night Football after video interruption

Old Trafford icon Gary Neville was only too happy to engage with fans on the street ahead of Monday Night Football's return.

The Manchester United legend has been gearing up for the much-anticipated return of a Premier League staple on Monday when Tottenham will kick off their season against newly-promoted Leicester City. And Sky Sports favourite Neville, 49, will be back providing expert analysis alongside Jamie Carragher and host Dave Jones.

But it's not only on-screen that Neville is adored after he shared a video of himself taking a post-gym workout stroll on Monday evening. He could barely hide his excitement for the comeback of MNF - and the public can hardly wait either.

Interrupting the preview of his MNF comeback, Neville encountered a group of cheering construction workers who instantly clock exactly who was walking past. Always ready to engage with the public, the Premier League legend paused for a quick banter in full view of his 1.7 million TikTok followers, reported The Mirror.

After spotting he'd been recognised, Neville stopped and asked the workers: "Are you watching Monday Night Football tonight?" And he was met with a volley of enthusiastic shouts as they affirmed they'd be tuning in.

Amid the happy exchange, one unlucky fan was inadvertently snubbed as his attempt for a high five went unnoticed by Neville. But the interaction was still a hit with fans, with many showing their appreciation and flooding the comments section with praise.
