Gary Neville makes Premier League title prediction after Man City watch Liverpool win Carabao Cup

Gary Neville believes that Liverpool could end the season as Premier League champions thanks to Jurgen Klopp.

Liverpool won the first major trophy of the season on offer by beating Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley on Sunday. They will play again in the FA Cup fifth round against Southampton on Wednesday night and are also favourites to win the Europa League.

But the main prize is the Premier League title. Liverpool are currently top of the table, one point ahead of Manchester City and two points clear of Arsenal. Winning the championship would undoubtedly be the perfect way for Klopp to say goodbye when he leaves this summer.

And former Manchester United full-back Neville thinks having Klopp in charge could make the difference in the title race. On his Sky Sports podcast, Neville said: "If Liverpool didn't have Klopp as a manager, I would say that might be as good as it gets. But with it being his last few months, and the energy and the spirit, you just know what's going to happen there. I still don't think Liverpool will win the league. But it could [happen]."

Neville previously shared his thoughts about Liverpool's title chances after their defeat to Arsenal at the start of the month. He said: "The (Arsenal) celebrations at the end I don't think were of a team that thought it was going to go on and win the title. I think they were of a team that didn't want to be out of a title race, and that was the relief that we saw at the end.

"I think Arsenal, when I watch it, is a better team than Liverpool but I think Liverpool is a more ruthless team, it is more ruthless in the final third. And I think that
