Gary Neville has told Man United how to solve a problem two players have admitted is a worry

Manchester United begin their Premier League campaign tonight when they welcome Wolverhampton Wanderers to Old Trafford.

United will be heavy favourites to win the clash. Wolves were left in crisis when Julen Lopetegui left his post last week and Erik ten Hag will be hoping his side can take advantage of that.

However, even according to his own players, playing at the Theatre of Dreams will not be the Reds' biggest test. Speaking to the club's in-house media, full-backs Diogo Dalot and Luke Shaw agreed the Reds' away form needs to improve.

"I think the standard for this club is every game you have to win it," Dalot said. "That will be the biggest difference for me this season, we have to win more games, especially away from home. We have to be more consistent and maintain that fortress we built at Old Trafford and put that onto away games and try to be as consistent as we can."

Shaw agreed, saying: "The away form was quite poor last season and the manager has definitely picked up on that. Obviously, with the pre-season we've just had I think that's another important thing we need to improve on this season."

Looking at United's away form last season against the traditional 'Top Six' and Newcastle, it's no surprise Ten Hag and his players have picked up on the issue. United beat every side except Newcastle at home, but away from home the Reds only picked up two points against these same clubs, including humiliating defeats at Liverpool and Manchester City.
