Gary Lineker agrees with Leicester City fans as he pokes fun at Aston Villa stalemate

Match of the Day host Gary Lineker has poked fun at the drab draw between Aston Villa and Leicester City on Saturday afternoon.

The former Leicester striker posted his customary weekly video on Twitter where he runs down the Match of the Day running order. As expected, Leicester vs. Villa is going on last after a far from entertaining 0-0 draw at the King Power Stadium.

Lineker took the opportunity to note that, saying: "There weren't many chances in the Leicester Villa one either, to be honest," Lineker said. "But you know what it's like, in a few minutes, we can make any game look entertaining. Well, almost any game."

His sentiment was echoed by City fans after the match, with the general consensus that it was not an entertaining game for fans of either side, let alone the neutral. It was Leicester's first 0-0 draw in the Premier League this season.

While some Leicester fans were happy to accept the point, others were not so impressed. "Definitely last on MOTD tonight," said one fan, calling it right. Another added: "That was a hard watch," while a third said: "First time I've nearly fallen asleep at a match".

Match of the Day is showing on BBC One this evening, with the show airing at 10.20pm. That's if you want to stay up to watch the highlights of that one again, City fans.
