GAA club wrap: Tipperary hurling semi-final line up complete
Loughmore-Castleiney are into the semi-finals of the Tipperary SHC after seeing off Kilruane MacDonaghs by 2-22 to 1-19 at FBD Semple Stadium.
Level at the break, the contest swung in three second-half minutes as Ciaran McCormack and Liam McGrath got goals for Loughmore-Castleiney.
The game was levelled up shortly afterwards once more but the eventual winners hit the last five points to reach the last four.
In today's other quarter-final, Thurles Sarsfields had too much for Nenagh Éire Óg, emerging 0-29 to 1-19 victors.
Sarsfields, who were beaten in last year's county final, looked comfortable for large swathes, although Adam Healy's goal with 10 minutes to play threatened to make a game of it.
Today's winners join Moycarkey-Borris and Toomevara in the last four after their victories yesterday.
In the Longford SFC, Mullinalaghta booked their place in the last four with the narrowest of victories over St Mary's of Granard.
It looked like it might be straightforward for the 2018 Leinster champions when Cian Mackey scored a goal with 20 minutes to go.
But a Paul Smyth major helped Granard to get back into the contest and the sides were level with five minutes to play, before James McGivenney and Jayson Matthews hit quickfire points to cement the win by 1-15 to 1-14 with Colmcille awaiting in the last four.
The other SFC quarter-final clash at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park on Sunday saw Abbeylara hold on to beat Rathcline by 0-10 to 1-05, and they'll face Killoe Emmet Óg in the semis.
