Gemma Collins shares major family news and says she finally feels 'complete'

Gemma Collins, the former star of The Only Way Is Essex, has shared that she feels "complete" after revealing significant family news. She announced her intention to become a foster carer during an interview on Good Morning Britain.

The TV star explained that her mother was fostered as a child and she wishes to provide the same support for a young child. Her statement comes amidst warnings from a national fostering group about a care crisis. In her interview with Good Morning Britain, she appeared alongside her mother Joan, where she expressed: "There's a lot of love I can give. I always make a good dinner! ".

Joan was in foster care from birth and fondly remembers her childhood, considering herself "lucky". Current reports indicate that there is a need for 12,500 foster carers, with the number of children requiring a home having increased by 14% compared to last year.

"There are so many rooms going spare across the UK," Gemma urged, encouraging others to offer their help. She recounted how her family reconnected with Joan's cousin through the show Who Do You Think We Are, leading to them becoming closer than ever, reports the Mirror.

The cousin now regularly visits at weekends for a curry with Gemma and Joan. She continued: "That is the wholesome values that so many people forget in today's society. Rushing around, this urgency culture, " before Gemma elaborated that discovering her family has made her feel "complete" and she is optimistic about helping other young individuals.
